Internet Safety in a Connected World (5 Hours)
Most of what students do online happens away from school, and the part that spills into the classroom is the part a teacher sees. In this course, teachers learn how students connect, share, and spend their time online, how to recognize when a student is being harmed, and how to respond in line with the duties that come with their role.
Lessons cover social media and content that disappears, photos and AI-altered images, messaging and scams, sextortion, AI chatbots, gaming, and digital footprints, along with AI and schoolwork, predators, grooming, cyberbullying, and a teacher’s reporting duties. Stories, interactive scenarios, and classroom activities give teachers tools to use with students and families.
