Child Safety and Grooming (10 Hours)

Acknowledging the widespread threats to children’s safety in today’s world, this course equips teachers with a rich bank of information as well as practical strategies to promote students’ safety, both in the real and online world.

In the first section, Internet Safety in a Connected World, teachers discover the threats that exist online, including social media, AI-altered images, sextortion, AI chatbots, cyberbullying, grooming, and online predators.

The second section, Child Abuse Prevention, empowers teachers to recognize the signs of child abuse and human trafficking, report as mandated reporters, and help prevent abuse.

Online self-study PD courses help teachers complete continuing education requirements.
