How do I keep and renew a teaching license in Oregon?
During their February 2025 meeting, the Commission agreed to reinstate the requirement to report evidence of Professional Development earned for licensees expiring on or after July 1, 2029. Setting a date in the future to require the reporting of PDUs allows time for licensees to seek and complete relevant professional development opportunities to meet the requirement within the timeline.
Those employed in Oregon schools, districts and educational service districts must continue to complete professional development as directed by the employer.
