How do I renew a teaching certificate in Arizona?
Visit the Arizona Department of Education site for more details on the re-certification process, official forms for recertification in AZ, and the teaching certificate renewal process.
For recertification, the following types of Professional Development Activities (see page 2 on this form to renew a Standard Teaching Certificate) may be used to meet course requirements for recertification:
Teachers must complete 15 clock hours of professional development activities for each year of the certificate term. *One semester hour of college coursework is equivalent to 15 clock hours of professional development activities.
